Streamer enters the North American market
Streamer took part in an Annual Conference and Exposition for energy industries (IEEE/PES) a Transmission, Exposition and Distribution Conference, held from the 16th to the 19th of April in Denver, USA.
According to Jean Baptiste Frain, the product manager of Streamer Electric AG, the company's booth was very popular among exhibitors and guests of the (IEEE/PES T&D), especially by representatives of the North American, New Zealand, Brazilian and South Korean electrical grid companies. The greatest interest was caused by our EasyQuench lightning protection technology for power lines with voltages above 69 kV.
"Today, a significant number of private electrical grid companies in the United States operate power lines with a voltage of over 69 kV, but there are no effective lightning protection technologies and equipment for them on the US market," Jean-Baptiste Frein said. He also noted that during the Denver exhibition, Streamer signed the first agreement with one of the private North American electric grid companies on the installation of multi-chamber LLPDs on its electricity transmission lines.
